Bucs

1 SS I. Kiner-Falefa R
2 LF B. Reynolds S
3 DH Joey Bart R
4 1B Connor Joe R
5 RF B. De La Cruz R
6 C Y. Grandal S
7 2B Nick Yorke R
8 3B Jared Triolo R
9 CF Billy Cook R
SP Paul Skenes R

Cards

1 SS Masyn Winn R
2 DH A. Burleson L
3 1B P. Goldschmidt R
4 3B N. Arenado R
5 2B B. Donovan L
6 LF L. Nootbaar L
7 RF J. Walker R
8 C Pedro Pages R
9 CF M. Siani L
SP Andre Pallante R

Here we go boys, Yorke (we have been wanting him here) instead of Gonzales at 2B. Why not Rowdy at 1B? Cruz has a bad ankle after twisting it yesterday. Shelty and GMBC suck and need to go!

Am I the only one noticing that the standings on the MLB site no longer have elimination numbers? I went to Yahoo's standings, they don't either.

Is this something MLB is no longer doing? I always liked seeing that, and how far upstream the Pirates get before they're eventually eliminated. I mean, less than 100 losses, now less than 90 losses, so the next thing is I wanted to see how far in the season they went before they were officially eliminated.

I'm so glad Connor Joe is batting cleanup. Just stood there like a statue. Worst part is, he watched strike one and strike two, the first at the top of the zone, the second upper middle, and just watched them. Two absolutely punishable balls, and two pitches I'm sure Pallante did not want in those locations, just get watched.

So much for the genius of reverse splits by having Tellez sit and Joe in the lineup.

Wouldn't want to offend anyone by pointing it out, I guess.

Looks like the Pirates expect Pallante to have control issues, he's walked 10 in his last two starts. Maybe they should get the hint, he's filling up the strike zone, might want to oughta swing at some of those pitches he keeps leaving up in the zone.

But, that might actually constitute a form of adjustment.

Barring some injury, this is probably the last crying mother interview of the season. I'm not complaining BTW, it's nice that they get the families on there, though there have been some real uncomfortable situations over the years.
