Appropriate on Clemente day, Cook makes a great throw from RF to nail a runner at the plate.

Re: Official Game Thread - 9/15 - Bucs vs Royals
Capps said it was a great homestand. Eh, 6-4 they did give away a game to the nats. Good, not great.
The Pirates formula worked today, in a different sort of way. Scratched together enough runs, bullpen does it's job, the last 6 outs were in order, but it was Bednar-Chapman, not Chapman-Bednar.
Glad they didn't get swept. Pretty overall disappointing having Ortiz-Keller-Jones going and didn't get much out of the starters, only Keller made it 6. But it was the fault of the bats (and in the case of Ortiz, some horrific umpiring) that did them in the first two games.
71 wins now, will they reach or surpass last year's total?
