Cubs strand two more runners in the third. The way it’s going tonight, Skenes may have only two more innings in him. 2-0 Bucs as we head to the 4th.

Game cast shows about numerous pitches in the walks that appear as strikes. Is that accurate? Is Skenes getting squeezed?

Much better inning for Skenes in the 4th as he allows no base runners, throws just 11 pitches. He struck out two in the inning, including Happ for the second time. Still 2-0 Bucs as we head to the 5th.

I’ve always wondered the same thing following on Gameday but, according to comments from posters in the past, it seems like what Gameday shows is fairly accurate.

Bucs go quietly in the 5th. Big inning for Skenes coming up, might be his last. Score remains 2-0 Pirates.

It just shows that Suzuki should’ve struck out looking.

Another solid inning by Skenes as he gets three fly outs. He’s at 100 pitches and I’m guessing he’s done. The Cubs had their chances in the first three innings but he didn’t buckle. 2-0 Bucs headed to the 6th

Pirates retired on six pitches in the 6th. Still 2-0 Bucs. Does Skenes come back out? If the bullpen can’t hold the lead, what aspersions will Livy cast?
