Bucs now 7-19 for August. Remember July 30th? The Pirates finally got in on the action and made some moves, primarily getting IKF and BDLC at the trade deadline. They beat the Astros that night, and sat at 55-52. They were 6 games back of the Brewers in second place, and 2 games back of San Diego for the third WC, and 1.5 games behind Arizona.
So.......they are 7-20 since the deadline. They are 8-20 since they optioned Suwinski to Indy.
The curse of Jack. Remember, that dude's really religious. He done went and put a spell on the Pirates, and sold his soul apparently to do it, based upon his stats since going back to AAA.

Forget this past July 30th. Let's go back to July 30, 824 BCE. Back then, the people of medieval Pittsburgh would've stormed the PNC Park castle, tied the occupants to rafts, sent them down the Ohio, and then burned everything to the ground. I'm just sayin' . . .Surgnbuck wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2024 2:23 am Bucs now 7-19 for August. Remember July 30th? There's no basement in the Alamo.

We can have Nutting talk into some plastic bags for an hour, explaining how the players need to play better, and how the Dominican facility is the best in baseball, and how Travis Williams has been doing such a great job. We then seal them up, latch everyone to them, and send them on their way.Bobster wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2024 12:34 pmWhere do we get the rafts?Doc wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2024 11:28 amForget this past July 30th. Let's join up next to the catapult. Each of us should bring a dead cow that we can launch inside the park, then put on a siege until they come crawling out. Then it's straight to the rafts with them.Surgnbuck wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2024 3:55 pmI'm in! Where do we meet up at?Doc wrote: ↑Sat Aug 31, 2024 11:28 amForget this past July 30th.
