I wonder what it would be like to score 8 runs and win.

Running German out there for another inning with a completely fresh bullpen sure looks like a great decision.

As announcer/entertainer Greg Brown said earlier, these game plan decisions are made ahead of time.

BDLC lines out to first

Pirates added on 2 runs against Cleveland's bullpen, which is one of the best in the game, and put 6 up against their starter and handed a two run lead to the bullpen.

My questions to Kelly: Why not Falter for another inning? Which, okay, Mo crapped the bed. But why are you sending German out there for a third inning? You have literally EVERYONE ELSE FRESH AND AVAILABLE!!!!!!!

Maybe it doesn't change things, but it certainly can be defended in a job interview (I stole that line from the Moneyball movie)

I would be hard pressed to believe the Pirates lost by 2 runs if you told me they scored 8 runs and were 5-9 with RISP, only struck out 6 times, banged out 12 hits with 2 doubles and 2 home runs.

I also don't understand bringing in Joe to PH just because a lefty is up pitching, and taking Tellez out in the 7th. He led off the inning, meaning there's a good chance he bats again in the 9th, and you have him facing Clase instead of Joe. Maybe makes a difference, maybe not. It's still a one run game at that point. Who do you feel gives you a better chance to put one point on the board, Tellez or Joe? I know Tellez vs. lefty thing, but Joe pretty much against anyone except for the Cubs series isn't any better.

I'm glad they are bringing up that infield in Cleveland. The way the ball bounces there is extremely odd.

Well, another loss in frustrating fashion. Like they said on the post game show, 3 of the last 4 games they have led, 2-0/6-4/10-3 and keep finding ways to lose them.
