I was looking at all the pennant races and I have to ask: It was not
too long ago that the Royals and the Bucs were the joke of baseball
both with 100 loss seasons. The Royals are now in contention for a playoff spot
at 75-60. I mention the Royals because they are small market and don"t have big
name players except for Bobby Witt Jr. Do not have any big name pitchers except
for Chris Stratton  Maybe they have players who are fundamentally sound. Just
makes me wonder

Oh mama I'm in fear for my life, Bednar's coming in from the pen.
The Bucs have a multiple run lead and he's gonna blow it again.

Oh mama, I can see you are crying, won't see a Hannah Mears interview.
With Paul Skenes after his pitching helped stop the Pirates losing skid at two.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!

The jig is up, the bullpen door
has finally swung open.
The Renegade, who used to slay,
has finally been broken.
Never ever used to say, this is now the end today
of a win we had.

Bucs waste an IK-F leadoff single. I wonder how often that’s happened? No score with the Guardians (that’s such a stupid name) coming to bat.

Well, IKF leads off with an infield single, Reynolds and Cruz both fly out, Cutch grounds out, but they just show the pitcher not the play.

No one struck out, that's amazing

Cleveland doesn’t waste its leadoff double and walk, getting both runners home. 2-0 Guardians after one.

I know why the club changed it’s name and why they picked the new one that they did, but couldn’t they have gone with something that was Lake Erie-related, like Corsairs or Captains or Schooners? There had to have been better submissions than Guardians.

And it only took 5 months to address that problem.
