Does anyone else have a deep sense of foreboding that Austin Hedges is going to hit a walk off HR?

I don't get calling Davis back up and not playing him. Grandal should only be catching the day game after a night game. I'm good with him being a DH, but Cutch is back, so he'd best be used as a PH then.

I just don't get this at times. You went and got BDLC at the trade deadling, and now you're platooing him with...Billy McKinney? I was okay with McKinney getting a shot....back in maybe May or June when it was evident then we needed to move on from Suwinski. Now he's getting tons of playing time? For what?

I'm guessing (heh) we'll see some interesting moves for the two open spots soon to be created with roster expansion.

I don't get not putting all the FA guys on waivers the other day. I read a comment about how last season was embarrassing to MLB when the Angels floated 10 of their guys. So what?

This season as a whole is odd. Tommy Pham and Louis Roberts Jr. were supposedly hot commodities at the deadline, yet they didn't go anywhere.

Which leads me to believe, based upon how underwhelming the traded deadline actually was, that teams love pimping how close they are to the wild card spot, but their actions prove otherwise. Lot of teams seemed to go the way the Pirates did it. Picked up a couple of pieces that looked to be improvements, but they weren't earth shattering.

We didn't see the big names that were out there go, like Vlad Jr. It's almost like everyone was still in shock with the Padres grabbing Arraez right out from everyone's noses, well before the trade deadline. It's almost like, "Hey, don't they know how this game is supposed to be played?"

I know we had a lot of injuries, but how are the Braves still contending? We don't even have a Ronald Acuna Jr. to lose, let alone lose him and still keep relevant.

And why is it there seems to be so many guys named Jr. all of a sudden? I think I typed that three times already.

They may have put guys of waivers without it being leaked to the press. I think that happens frequently. It was kind of unusual that we learned Taylor was on waivers.

As far as the September roster, we keep hoping for moves that make sense. But I'm not that optimistic. Cherington's decisions often defy logic. I believe we will be left scratching our heads and slapping our foreheads when we see what is done.
