A bit shaky but Bednar closes it down. The streak is over. Life feels a little better.

Yeah, long enough between raising it that I was thinking only Viagra was going to help.

Bednar now has 21 saves and a 5.83 ERA. That reminds me of Mike Williams in 2003 when he was the Pirates rep in the all-star game with 25 saves and an embarrassing ERA of 6.27.

RTJR!!! They just keep winning when I'm here.

Cruz did not bust it out of the box, turned it on and looked like a sure triple then shut it down right after he made the turn. He either hit the bag in a bad way, or his first or second step and limped back.

Cutch immediately signaled fir a PR, he struggled down the line as it would have been a double.

It was palpable what you could feel from Bednar after the HR and single. Kind of his pitching "Eff you Jobu, I do it myself".

BTW that was a foul tip and the fact that once again Shelton can't get the umps to even discuss it when we see PLAYERS from other teams get that Bennie tells me umpires have obvious bias. You could hear it was a foul tip. Just heinously bad officiating, and covering up a obvious missed call

Give him a 2 run lead and he is automatic

If you get the chance to listen to Zangrilli's interview with IKF, you have to. Zangrilli said on the radio it would be on the podcast on 93.7 the fan website, and that he was going to put the interview out on twitter.

By the end of that interview, I was convinced to renew my season tickets. You have to listen to him, "this is a 100 win team".

I'd love to use a term they use in golf all the time, "There's a new leader in the clubhouse". This guy wants to stay with the Pirates. GMBC needs to get a deal done now.

Surge, I appreciate IK-F's enthusiasm but this team may not even be an 80-win team. The three best teams, record-wise right now, will have a tough time winning 100 games. Without adding two legit power bats (one who replaces Hayes), moving Cruz off of SS, getting an on base machine to lead-off, getting the players to play smarter baseball, not to mention a new manager and coaching staff, there's little hope for this team to win more than they have. After 120+ games, they are what their record shows they are. This team would need career years from just about everyone just to compete to win the division.
