When they finally do win and end the streak, how do you imagine the game? Extras that goes 25 innings? A White Sox blowout? A 1-0 game where the run scores on a little league home run? They win getting no hit?
Somehow, I imagine them winning on a 5 inning, rain shortened game.
Next up is a series against the A's in Anaheim.
Wonder what the White Sox motivation level is?

White Sox last win was on July 10th
Re: The Other Games 2024
Sox have now lost 20 in a row. They have scored 3 or fewer runs in 17 of those 20. In fact, they've scored 2 or less in 12 of them.

It is said that every team wins 50, and loses 50. Your season hinges on what you do in the other 62.
These guys are that rare bird that will likely defy that logic. They have 27 wins.
They didn't trade their 2 best trade chips in Crochet and Robert jr. and they are still this bad. Crochet will likely shut himself down so he doesn't blow out his arm, and Robert will probably get hurt again.
How would you like to be the team that they finally break through against?

When the Orioles set the AL record with a 21-game losing streak to open the 1988 season, who do you suppose they finally broke through against?Javy wrote: ↑Mon Aug 05, 2024 1:55 pmIt is said that every team wins 50, and loses 50. Your season hinges on what you do in the other 62.

The White Sox! And the Orioles beat them so bad that day, it might as well have been a forfeit. 9-0. Another bit of history for the Chisox!
(Joe Orsulak was on that Orioles team.)

Joe Orsulak had a pretty good run didn't he? He hung around a while if I recall.Bobster wrote: ↑Mon Aug 05, 2024 2:22 pmWhen the Orioles set the AL record with a 21-game losing streak to open the 1988 season, who do you suppose they finally broke through against?Javy wrote: ↑Mon Aug 05, 2024 1:55 pmIt is said that every team wins 50, and loses 50. I knew the Phillies lost 23 games in a row in the early 60's, but I looked to see what was the longest in MLB history. The Cleveland Spiders lost 26 in a row in the 1890's. The Phil's however, are credited with the longest streak in "modern MLB history". As a Philly area resident, I'd kinda like to see that record stay intact - gives me a little ammunition when I engage the delusional Phillie's fans who still think this years team is the 2nd coming of the '27 Yankees.
