Re: 2025 Pirates Schedule
For a guy that has a half season weekend plan, this might be one of the most "meh" schedules ever. The worst part is, 14 weekends, no Cubs or Cardinals. The Reds are here on a weekend once, the Brewers twice. I'm okay with a division opponent coming on a weekend twice, as long as we see all of them.
White Sox, A's, and Rockies all come in to make for some lackluster weekends. The Diamondbacks are here this year on a weekend, and there they are again for 2025. Nothing against them or the Rangers, I'd rather see the Cardinals and Cubs come in one weekend each. I'd rather the Dodgers be in on a weekend instead of the Padres.
The Yankees open it up, which is fantastic. We also have Cleveland, Philly, Mets coming in on weekends, which I love because with the way their fans help pack the house, PNC Park is full of energy when those teams come. I'm happy we got the Braves on a weekend instead of the Marlins or Nationals.
This will be the third season in a row the Pirates open at home against an American League team.

Hopefully the bucs will start 2025 the same way as 2024. However, isn't it strange to open up against the Marlins againSurgnbuck wrote: ↑Thu Jul 18, 2024 8:51 pm For a guy that has a half season weekend plan, this might be one of the most "meh" schedules ever.
