This one will hurt for awhile.

Goodbye Chapman.
Hope we get something decent in return
The return will be a 19-year old in Low A. That’s the kind of return the Pirates love.

Don't fret the "meat of the order" is coming up. Sadly the Pirate line-up is vegetarian.

Yep, we ain't getting much for an older arm. Maybe a team that has a shot will want him but they'll regret it.

I guess we see it differently. The catcher’s position is completely unsettled. Tellez won’t be back and Joe is adequate, at best, at first base. Cruz at short is still a mystery. Hayes at third is unreliable in that he misses too many games and he doesn’t hit well enough. Two of the outfield positions are held by three guys who can’t hit. So we’re good at second and left field. We need more. A lot more.

2 straight loses and the road ahead is bumpy.

And the highest payroll in MLB get to .500.

By build on I mean like 82 wins. A few decent hitters should get us there.

Bob Nutting just gleefully ordered his baseball operations people to prepare to be sellers over the next few weeks.
