Just another wasted excellent starting pitching effort.
Although Palacios was finally brought up, they will need more offensive help

The Cards challenged a play in the 1st inning and lost and the ump announced they had now lost their challenge. They subsequently challenged 2 more plays. Since they couldn't actually challenge, they were granted "umpire reviews." What's the point of losing your challenge if the umps just give you more by a different name?

Needless to say, we were going insane in the stands. I can't believe Shelton didn't get out there again like he did on the Holderman play.

Seems the division rivals always seem to be able to punk the Pirates with the umps.

When the cards legitimately challenged in the 1st inning, Shelton went out to argue, presumably that the time to challenge had expired. But the umps seemed to disregard that little ol' infraction. On the 2 subsequent bogus challenges, Shelton didn't say a peep.
