Suwinski provides the offense and Davis catches a shutout. I guess Cherington did something right today! :)

Sure hope we can do something with this starting pitching we have. Next season could be promising with a few bats.

Cherington will leave no DFA list unturned in his quest to find them.

If history is any indication, the "something" that will happen with this group of pitchers is that, in less than six years, all of them will have been traded.

I think we all recognize that that is a given. Nutting is always going to be Nutting. But that's ok if they make the most of those years. Act with some sense of urgency to strike while the iron is hot. They don't have the bats. SO GET THEM! Stop being 29th in payroll and get some hitters! Can't just wait for the poor hitters they currently have to morph into something they are incapable of being. Can't wait for prospects who are a few years away and might never pan out anyway. Can't find hitters in dumpsters. They need Cherington to start acting like a real GM. They need a real manager. But that seems to be asking too much.

Exactly. But finding real hitters, a real manager, and a real GM costs real money. The guy responsible for spending real money doesn't behave like a real baseball owner. It always comes down to that.
