Bucs go down in order in the 2nd. Still scoreless.

Keller with a perfect third inning. Sure glad the Pirates don’t have to deal with Austin Riley this weekend. Still no score.
Re: Official Game Thread - 5/25 - Bucs vs Braves
A Triolo double and a Bae single get the Bucs the lead. Still nobody out in the 3rd.
Re: Official Game Thread - 5/25 - Bucs vs Braves
Bucs settle for one. We move to the 4th leading 1-0.

Sheesh, I go out to get the mail and come back to a Braves singles parade. We’re now tied at one midway through four.
Re: Official Game Thread - 5/25 - Bucs vs Braves
A Cruz walk, a double by MVP candidate Nick Gonzales, and a sac fly by Oliveras puts the Bucs back into the lead. The sac fly to get a run home wasn’t something we were seeing earlier this month. Good job by Oliveras.

At the end of four, Bucs 3 Braves 1.

We will never know if the Pirates had trade discussions last winter that included Nick G., but if so, I am glad they never materialized. He is a different player than he was last season.

Re: Official Game Thread - 5/25 - Bucs vs Braves
When the Pirates scored twice to take a 3-1 lead, Joe Block said, "And the Pirates get those two back!" I know he was talking to Don Robinson in the booth but he should at least know the score. And as the Pirates were scoring those runs, Block was using his fake excited voice. Whenever he describes a big hit for the Pirates, he yells so loud that it doesn't sound natural. It sounds like he's trying to manufacture excitement. Which makes sense because he's always talking about other things so he just doesn't seem too invested in the game. But he knows he has to sound excited on big plays so he yells in what sounds like he's performing rather than reacting.
