Bobster, Bobster, Bobster, you’re forgetting that the first priority isn’t to win. It’s to let everybody play.

Neris into pitch for the Cubs. Joe flies out to start the 9th.

Gonzales strikes out on three pitches. That was too easy for Neris. Gotta hold ‘em and then it’s beer league softball time.

Shelton decides to pitch to Morel and gets burned as he singles home Bellinger. Stupid frickin’ decision. Over nine innings, it’s hard to pin a loss on one play or player, but not this time. This loss is squarely on Shelton.

It's hard to rely on Bednar this year. He's been very bad. But Shelton has his preconceived formulas so Bednar was there in the 9th. Falter was needlessly pulled in the 8th after 83 pitches. He could have started the 9th or Holderman could have been available instead of using him with 2 outs in the 8th. I predicted 77 wins this year and one reason for that was because I took for granted that Shelton would cost them some games. He's atrocious.

The game’s been over for 10 minutes and I’m still pissed. Shelton continues to cost this team games by his hare-brained decisions. If he already isn’t, BC needs to be thinking about making a change. This guy can’t remain here. The players are limited as it is, they can’t have a knucklehead in charge of them.
