If you ever have a Bart and a Williams reach base safely to start an inning and Cutch, Reynolds, and Cruz can't even move them up a base, we have basically told the opponent, "here, sorry, we didn't mean to do that, please take this game back". I'd fine each of them half a million dollars.

I was in the car following the game such as anyone can do with Joe Block at the microphone and, when I learned Williams was starting, I about exploded. He’s sent down a couple of days ago, an indication he’s not good enough to be here, but then he’s put in the line-up. Whoever decided that should’ve been escorted from the building by Security and given the address of the Unemployment Office. Can the people in charge ever do anything right?

Bednar gives up lead off double. He looks like a batting practice pitcher this year. Might be time to get him out of high leverage situations with his 9+ ERA.
