Can’t trade Cruz because he IS the Bucs. Mediocre as he currently stands but the lure of potential. Cruz: lackadaisical play but then hit a 200-mph homer in the river followed by 3 errors. Team: win 5 in row, tantalize with starting pitching potential, lose 6 in row. Cruz = Pirates

The key, in my opinion, back in the Gerrit Cole era, was bringing in AJ Burnett. He had a winner’s edge and knew what was needed to win. These Bucs don’t have any of that. This is the perfect example of the difference between winners and losers.
A) holderman clearly doesn’t have it. Winners yank. Losers play it out.
B) winners get the bunt down. Losers pop it up
C) winners hit a fly ball. Loses strike out
