What did Michael A. Taylor do to get into Shelty's dog house? I can see Henry sitting out the game so he can get his head out of his arse when it comes to his hitting. I guess Shelty also wants to ride get "hot" guy in Bart.

I guess his role is to play against Lefty's and as a defensive replacement in the later innings
especially for Suwinski.

Taylor is 4 for 8 (.500) vs LHP and 8 for 20 (.400) vs RHP this season. This was brought up on Dejan's site when a reporter asked Shelton why Taylor wasn't playing. As expected, the explanation was bizarre. Shelton said Taylor played a lot when the season began because he was hitting so well. So now they want to give him some rest "for the long haul."

So when a player is hitting well, the best thing to do is make rest the top priority so that he doesn't stay in the lineup when he's hitting. The thinking by this team's brain trust is scary.

Bucs having a nice 2nd inning rally. RBI single by Joe, 2-run single by Bart. Errant pick-off throw to 2B puts runners at 2nd and 3rd. Bucs lead 3-1.

Just got in, have to get ready for work now. Looks like Reynolds and Hayes are taking the night off at the plate. Everyone else is contributing.
