Shelty and one of his goofy lineups. The guy has no business being an MLB manager. With near freezing temps this evening I hope his beard grows icicles on it.

I don't understand Suwinski batting leadoff. But this is from the same manager who once thought Vogelbach was a leadoff hitter. IKF would be a better choice.

Last seasson, IKF had an OBP of .279 batting first, and .387 batting ninth.

He hasn't hit first this season. His OBP is .432 hitting ninth so far this season.

Leading off so far his OBP is .333 In 2024 leading off his OBP was .325

So two things seem to be consistent with IKF over the last season, plus the small sample size of this season:
1. He hits much better when in the ninth spot of the order.
2. He does much better, for what ever reason, when he isn't the first up at any time.

He's hardly a table setter, but he certainly is the kind of guy that gets or keeps things rolling, and he turns the lineup over.

So that being said, maybe that's why they bat Suwinski first. When he comes up a second time, he's seen the pitcher, and there's a 40 percent possibility, someone is on base, and having to pitch from the stretch with a guy on that has stolen base capability to also worry about.

Sounds good in theory if this were the Jack from two years ago.

Pitching in the cold weather doesn't seem to be agreeing with Skenes. 3-0 St.L.

I thought he’d have a distinct advantage tonight. Which is exactly the reason why I never gamble.

Skenes has given up five runs. Yikes! I guess Koufax did, too, a few times.
