In your first post in this thread, you said something to the effect that the Pirates didn’t know what their plan was for the bricks. So the bricks had already been dumped at a recycle facility when they said that? Did they think no one would find out?
Just another lie by their FO. They knew where the bricks were, and KDKA must have put their feet to the fire. So they had to come clean. What a bunch of bozos!

Now the PR team wakes up - https://www.post-gazette.com/sports/pir ... 2504080081

Why not designate a time and location for people to claim their brick? They claim they are going to replace the bricks but the other story says it may be a vertical structure instead.

it would have been so easy for the team to make this a positive story but they just can't stop from shooting off their toes.

Or simply communicate openly with those affected by it and not make it a story at all.

They say they will have this vertical structure near the Maz statue. I am sure whatever they put on the small plaque it won’t say what each brick had on it. They had 10,000 bricks according to the tv report.

I wonder if they'll double dip and try to charge a fee for the old messages on the new structure.

They cannot do anything positive, because of the money hungry owner.

I will not pay for a new memorial or whatever it will be.

yes, but I think the only way to communicate (and reach the most people who have bricks) would require going through the press. Even if they have a lot of addresses, emails and phone numbers a lot of them must be wrong after over 20 years.

But being open and straightforward appears to be against this team's DNA. Why trust anything, any of them say?
