Where Did The Bricks Go
KDKA TV had another segment on the news regarding the paver bricks that were removed this offseason in order to replace the sidewalks at PNC Park. I bought a brick for my family prior to the building at the ballpark. It was located at the Home Plate Entrance, and at times when I attended a game I would stop and find it. I will admit the bricks were getting worn after 20 plus years, but those who purchased them had a love for the Pirates, or maybe someone who had passed away who enjoyed the Pirates. My brick was near one purchased by Dave Guisti, we all will remember him, and his palm ball. It would be good if the Pirates would inform us fans of the plans for the bricks. Possibly when they were lifted they were damaged or even destroyed. Currently the Pirates are not telling the media what the future plans are for the bricks at PNC Park.

Same here. Mine was near the Honus Wagner statue. They say they will replace the bricks after the sidewalks are repaired but it remains to be seen how/where they will replace them.fjk090852-7 wrote: ↑Mon Apr 07, 2025 10:58 pm KDKA TV had another segment on the news regarding the paver bricks that were removed this offseason in order to replace the sidewalks at PNC Park. Can anyone here play this game?

Our family brick is right under Willie Stargell’s ample backside. Easy to find. Can’t miss it.

If they replaced that sidewalk, that brick is gone as well. Possibly they only replaced the sidewalk at the Home Plate Entrance. It will probably be a few weeks until I get down to the ballpark to see any changes made this offseason.

I have one by the Stargell statue. I will be at PNC along with friends from California for the Padre series. Hopefully mine is still there.

Mine was also close to the Honus Wagner statue. Being a far-away fan, several of my friends and my children's friends, when visiting Pittsburgh have had fun finding it and texted us their pictures as they knelt next to it. Hopefully they will come up with a good replacement area. I haven't been to PNC since Covid, but I am hoping to get back there this year later in the summer.Bobster wrote: ↑Mon Apr 07, 2025 11:06 pmSame here. Mine was near the Honus Wagner statue. Just saw a short report on KDKA TV and they will have a full report at 6 o’clock but it appears the bricks are at a recycling plant. I am anxious to hear the full report at 6 o’clock

What a slap in the face by Management to its fans, by dumping the bricks at a recycling plant. Don’t they care about their fans? This situation is going to get ugly.

In your first post in this thread, you said something to the effect that the Pirates didn’t know what their plan was for the bricks. So the bricks had already been dumped at a recycle facility when they said that? Did they think no one would find out?fjk090852-7 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 08, 2025 9:49 pm What a slap in the face by Management to its fans, by dumping the bricks at a recycling plant.
