Question about the Tellez move: by doing this yesterday, are the Pirates able to freeze Tellez for the rest of the week? If the Brewers wanted to DH Tellez for a game, can the Pirates just say, "No, he's not released yet."
Point being that no one else can give him the plate appearances, either.

Why did the Pirates keep Chapman all season?
I wonder if they are going to try to bring him back? Otherwise why not let him go in August to see if a contender would want him to save money?
Pretty much every thing this team does shouts" We don't know what we are doing!"

Tellez was lucky to last this long and made a bunch of money. Good riddance. Guy had 5 weeks of lightning and that's it.
Re: Roster moves.
As bad as Tellez was for the Bucs and should have been gone earlier in the season, the thing that pisses me off is when it was finally done with just 4 plate appearances needed to earn a $200,000 bonus. That shows that Nutting is too much of a delegator to put a stop to GMBC doing it and making future FA etc not want to come to play in Pgh.
Let's Go Bucs

You are so right. Why would a good free agent player want to sign with the Pirates ? Nutting is so disgusting. The taxpayers helped build that beautiful ballpark, and he won’t spend the money to put a competitive team on the field. I know it won’t happen but MLB should really come down on him. He is despicable!Possum wrote: ↑Wed Sep 25, 2024 7:21 pm As bad as Tellez was for the Bucs and should have been gone earlier in the season, the thing that pisses me off is when it was finally done with just 4 plate appearances needed to earn a $200,000 bonus. The Pirates are getting national media attention. It sure is sad we have a penny pinching owner. How disgusting!

Perfect to hear former Pirate Al Oliver speak out on this cheapness. I guess Al won’t join the Bucs Hall of Fame for several more years!3pirates3 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 25, 2024 8:06 pm https://x.com/PatMcAfeeShow/status/1838981251019272496

I am glad this is getting National attention. It won't do any good but
Nutting won't like it.

Re: Roster moves.
Add former Buc CSN as another player who called out the Pirates on this release of Rowdy with four ab remaining for a bonus. I hope more players call out the Pirates.
