Official announcement over the PA said that the game is called, long enough to be an official game, no winner. Tie.

Wow.

Yes, ties happen. They only happen in the regular season, never in the post season.

Yes, ties happen. They only happen in the regular season, never in the post season. That's news to me. I've looked at the standings for a long time both in the newspaper and online and I've never seen a tie column in there for baseball standings anywhere ever.

Standings don't show a tie. But the team and the players get credit for playing the game. The 1960 Pirates had a tie. They had a record of 95-59 but Don Hoak played in every game and is credited with 155 games.

It wouldn't happen under current rules, but there were tie games in the World Series of 1907, 1912, and 1922.

No, but you picked 87-74 with a rainout not being made up. This game won't be made up so the W-L record will reflect 161 games. As you predicted! :D
