If I were the Cubs I would be extremely worried about facing them in a short 5 game series having to potentially face Cueto twice and Bumgarner once. Plus, with their experience as well I think this makes this a very dangerous matchup for the Cubs. It won't shock me at all if the Giants take them out it really won't.

Not to mention that the Giants won the WS in 2010, 2012 and 2014. So it's their year! :)

I'm not one for dynasty stuff like the Giants are doing winning the WS every other year. But I will root like heck for them this year mainly because the favorite to win it all is the hated Cubs. As my daughter the former Chicagoland resident would say: "The Cubs Suck!!" And I agree her. 8-)

Also, it's fun to remind Cubs fans that the last time they won a WS, Wyatt Earp and Geronimo were still alive.

I'm not a big Giants fan, but I will pull for the Giants in this series almost as if they were the Pirates.

And I would pay good $$$ if it would guarantee an early Cubs elimination. I despise the team, the fans, the announcers, the manager, etc... Nothing would be sweeter than seeing them go down in flames in round one.

Honestly (and this is probably a bad attitude) the Cubs losing in the playoffs is almost as important to me as the Pirates making it there

I don't want the Cubs to win or the Indians.

I love the over 100 years for the Cubs and I don't want Cleveland to think they are "city of champions".

Red Sox losing would be third.

I'm rooting for the Indians.  My brother knows and has kind of become friends with a lot of the Akron Aeros (now Rubberducks), many of whom have since moved up. He had season tickets until he moved.

On the cautionary front, if the Cubs lose they will come back next year more determined than ever to win. If they win, there is a greater likelihood of them spending the winter telling everyone how good they are, enjoying the thrill of victory, and hitting the ground flat next year. Which would be good for the Pirates, who presumably will come back determined to put this year far behind them.

I'm rooting for the Giants. NL team that I like back to the Willie Mays, Juan Marichal days. If they don't make it then I begin to root for the Indians. As a kid I got to see 2 or 3 Indian games a year cause I had a close cousin who lived in Akron and we would go out there a couple times a year for visits and in the summer we did it when Indians were at home.

To be truthful I really am not going to watch any of the post season and when it comes down to it, I guess that I want "Anybody But the Cubs" to win.
