McKechnie Field has new name

Just saw that McKechnie Field is now named Lecom Park. I guess naming rights offers more revenue than an old historical baseball personality.

I wonder if the name PNC Park will remain once the 20 year agreement with PNC Bank ends in 2020.

This just sux. I'm tired of all this venue name-changing gorgonzola in pro sports. No respect for loyalty,tradition or history. And by the way, stay off of my lawn too!! >:(

I can live with your comment on venue name changing Quail but I draw the line at staying off your lawn. I am going to find out where you live and bring my two Great Danes with me and be sure that they had a nice big meal a few hours earlier and allow them on your lawn. And I will bring no bags or scoopers. Just let you take care of that because of your mean spiritedness toward lawn trespassers! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Now in all seriousness when will this naming rights stuff go away. Never I know but it sure would have been nice to have had PNC Park name in honor of Roberto or even Pops Stargell and to go further why not Rooney Field for the Stillers.

We should have a poll on what the name for PNC should have been. I would have named it Willie Stargell Stadium. Thank goodness it was not called Kevin McClatchy Field.
