Giants relief pitcher Will Smith is going for a second opinion for an ailing left elbow. Maybe the Giants would like to acquire Bastardo from the Bucs to fill in for an extended loss of Smith.

I was thinking the same thing when I read that yesterday. Bucs have been trying to move Bastardo all year. Could they be asking too much?

Will Smith is now older than the age of Uncle Phil was on that show.

Will Smith, the actor. Not the pitcher.

I also wouldn't be trying to trade Bastardo. I like those four guys at the end of the bullpen even though I fear Bastardo might have a down year.

Smith to have TJ surgery. Maybe we can move a lefty to the Giants before the season opens.
