Per the Trib Austin Meadows locker in the Bucs clubhouse is empty. No announcement yet as to whether he was sent down or could there be a trade to soon be announced.

My guess is sent down. In the Twitter age, news doesn't stay hidden for long. I think Lucas Giolito actually found out about his trade to the White Sox from ESPN, who got it off of Twitter, before the Gnats or Sox called to tell him. And it wasn't because they were taking their time in letting him know. That's just how fast news travels these days. If there was a trade, we'd know about it.

Would be my guess too. I mean, there's only like a week left, they know he's not going to be in the majors, and they're going to want to get the opening day outfield together for a while, right?

There was supposed to be another round of cuts today or tomorrow.

He needs a new number. 77 looks like a player who will never make it and was just a camp invite.
