I'm going to assume that J-Hay gets the majority of time at second. Obviously, Frazier, Gosselin, and probably Hanson will also see time here, but this is primarily about Harrison. He really needs to have a bounce back year. I don't particularly like him batting 1 or 2, but if they put him in the six hole, I think he could be really solid. I also think he provides above average defense at the keystone position.

I agree - Josh should not be in the top of the order.

I think he can be an asset to this team, bounce back. The whole team needs to bounce back.

BTW - I'd like to see Frazier leading off. Finally a real leadoff but he doesn't have a regular position. Or do you create a position for a guy that can fill a need in the line up? I think "yes".

My lineup: JHay at 3rd, Frazier at 2nd.

You may see this for the first series. Something like:

Frazier-2B

Polanco

Cutch

Marte

Bell-DH

Freese-1B

Harrison-3B

Cervelli

Mercer

Harrison has demonstrated he can be a good third baseman, so I see him mostly there. I would consider Hanson at second if he hits at all. He seems strong defensively, which would be a help on that side of the diamond.

Harrison had a bad year. Decent average, but nothing else. I was impressed with his defense and glove. Very above average on defense.

He needs to hit especially if others can play his position like Frazier and Hanson. Who ever is hitting will get the majority of the time at 2B. It has to be Harrison's job to lose.

The Pirates need him to bounce back. He needs to run smart too. If not, he could be a deadline deal. His contract is looking worse if he doesn't perform.

Defensively how do the different guys measure up at 2nd vs. 3rd?

I like Harrison's defense at 2b (and at 3b). He's a good base stealer but a pretty poor baserunner (hope to see some improvement with the new coaches). Undisciplined ABs make him a poor leadoff choice and he's got very little power. For me he fits the definition of a decent placeholder until an impact player arrives.

I like Frazier's offense a lot but his defense scares me if he plays more often at 2b than just occasionally. If we could magically get Frazier's offense with Harrison's defense at 2b I'd be a happy camper.

I'd be willing to start Fraizer at 2nd; give him a chance to settle in.
