Cutch needs just two home runs to pass Barry Bonds to become the fourth best home run hitter in Pirate History. This past offseason I had my doubts that he would pass Bonds with all the trade rumors that were going on. He will be in some good company with Stargell, Kiner, and the Great Roberto.

Kind of a sorry list. Shows how players don't stick around anymore. Also shows the lack of power as an organization.

For its long and storied history, there don't seem to be a lot of of All-Timer Pirate power hitters or pitchers. Esp pitchers. I know a lot is because of Forbes field but still.

All time WAR for Pirate pitchers (I know not everyone likes WAR but for this it's fine).

Bob Friend 47.9

5. Ed Morris 33.8

Most of them were born in the 19th century. You'd think given a sample size of so many years, you'd get one or two household names like they do with hitting greats.
