I will take a Quality Start. Two times through the top four of the rotation was a success. Cole had the worst start on opening day.

In answer to your question: No.
But here's the problem. Let's say Cole pitches a very good game ... let's say 6 IP, 2 runs.
That means 2 things still have to happen for the Pirates to win:
1. Pirates must score at least 3 runs (highly unlikely).
2. Pirates bullpen must hold the Cubs in check for 3 more IP (highly unlikely).
In other words, the odds are not in the Pirates' favor today.
The odds of a Pirates win on Saturday should be about 50:1.
The odds of the Pirates scoring a run vs. Lester on Sunday is a longshot at best.

And oh by the way I hate the Cubs more than every other MLB team combined x 2. So no I am not looking forward to this weekend.
I'm going to the UNC vs. NC State game this evening to try to take my mind off of the Pirates.

Why do they even play? It would be smarter to forfeit, take the 1-0 loss every game, and get ready for the Cardinals.

Not questioning or trying to one up your or anything like that, it's just a neat piece of trivia that I don't have a chance to work into everyday conversation too often. A forfeit game is 9-0.
Well, *I* think it's neat, anyhow. Heh.

You are correct. I went to change it, but you beat me to it. Teams are rewarded for winning every inning.
Maybe we should play then? 9-0, 9-0, 9-0 will look bad.

Freese with an RBI double. Polanco scored after stealing second base.
Wehner is doubting Hendricks saying he won't go far with the way he is pitching so far.
