Harrison 3rd

Bell 1st

Cutch RF

Polanco LF

Cervelli C

Jaso RF

Mercer SS

Hansen 2nd

Cole P

Keep playing Jaso and his below .100 average every other day and play him in the outfield again where he was absolutely brutal the other day and cost them the game. You have an off day Thursday this week play Freese and your best players this series against the Cubs. Is anyone else as frustrated and disgusted as I am that Clint is continuing to play Jaso in the outfield. I mean what are Hurdle and management doing here??

Frazier is hurt. Osuna is just as bad in the outfield. Harrison has played one inning last year and one game this year in the outfield. Bell will not play RF. Not many options. Playing the percentages.

I don't know why Hanson is playing. That is the bigger question in my opinion. It will be nice to see Freese come off the bench and stay in the game. But he should be in there over Hanson.

I'd rather play Osuna everyday in RF and keep his bat in the lineup over Jaso who can't field or hit. Go make a trade for an outfielder, call Austin Meadows up do something besides playing Jaso in RF every other game. You honestly think Dog this team can still make the playoffs with this roster the way it is now??

I don't get why Freese would rest when (A) He's one of our best hitters; and (B) He's getting Thursday off anyway.

And I don't get Jaso in RF over Osuna. Granted, neither can play defense. But at least Osuna is hitting. To me that's a no-brainer.

Jaso and his .100 average and brutal defense are the best option out there now on this pennant contending team. Decisions like this are what lose you games early on in the season that you can't make up later because it's too late. No reason at all for Clint to start Jaso in RF over Osuna or even someone like Bell or JHay NONE!!!!

Typical concrete thinking of Hurdle:

Jaso and Osuna are both liabilities in RF. Osuna is coming off his best hitting game. Jaso isn't hitting at all. BUT... RH pitcher therefore a LH batter (as opposed to a hitter) is needed. One day of rest isn't enough for a MLB player. Since Thursday is an off day, Freese has to also rest the day before or day after. Sure, this already struggling offense is further weakened against the Cubs. But that doesn't matter. All that matters is that Hurdle's philosophy on running a team is adhered to.

Good job, Hanson.

That is the sixth error by secondbaseman this year. That leads the majors.

For a guy who isn't supposed to even be a good pitcher anymore, Cole is dealing tonight.

It's reached the point now where the Pirates are routinely giving the opponent 30-32 outs a game regardless of whether the errors are actually charged or not. Sure, it's still very early. But so far this is almost a daily occurrence.
