In the 6th inning and the game is only 1:20 long.
Cole looking good again. Destined to lose 1-0. Probably calling Boras In between innings begging to get out of town.
Pirates on the bases continue to amaze. Frazier gets picked off 1st. Nothing else happening.

This is going to be Bell's and Meadows team next year. Here's hoping the FO tries to build something that can contend.

Nice win, but this team needs a lot more to make up for that dreadful 6-game losing streak that put them in a hole.
They've won 3 of 4 since. They need to win 3 of 4 again. And then again.
That's 7 straight impressive starts by Cole. Unfortunately the Pirates did not take advantage of that streak at all.
I'm really excited about Bell.
As for Cutch, very good game but we've got to see a LOT more of that before we can declare that he is breaking out. Even bad players have good games once every couple of weeks. And I'm praying Cutch is not permanently a bad player yet.
Nice win. Now Glasnow tomorrow. Man I hope we're not down 7-0 mid 2nd.

Great game by McCutchen. Knocked in some runs. Two stolen bases.
Bell smashed one and then was replaced. I don't get it. Bell even made a tough play on a grounder.
Cervelli with a good game. A couple walks, sac fly and good defense.
Jaso with three walks. Also scored on a good read of a single from first.
Cole changed speeds great. He pitched very well. Cole shut down a very good offense. First time the Nationals only had three hits all season.
Same record at this point as in 2014.

Same record at this point as in 2014. That team started 10-20 I believe and went 78-54 the rest of the season to win 88 games. I highly doubt this team will do anything like that. Just way too inconsistent and too many missing pieces and key pieces not playing well.
