Any interest in Peralta? He was just cut by the Cardinals. I would think he would be a better back infielder than what the Pirates have right now.

If the Bucs have any interest they aren't going to sign him until the Cards are responsible for most of his salary. If they think he has anything left in the tank it would be worth taking a look at him (I mean sign him and play him several games in a row) and if he does well great, if not let him go quickly.

So when the Cards struggle, they DFA an expensive veteran and replace a coach. When the Pirates struggle they call up Gosselin and Moroff.

Who do you want the Pirates to cut?

C'mon Dog, that's extremely concrete thinking. I'm not saying the Pirates should copy the Cards move for move. I'm saying the Cards make bold moves while the Pirates do as little as possible. But I'm sure you believe this is the best possible team the Pirates can assemble because if they do it it has to be right.

I don't think cutting a 35 year old who is batting .200 is a bold move.

It is when they still owe him about another 18 million.

That they signed to a stupid contract to begin with. This is dumb logic.
