Yet another bad start from Glasnow.

Puts Bucs in an early hole with 7 runs on 10 hits in 4 innings. Forces bullpen to cover 5 innings. Raises ERA to 7.62. He's not making progress. He needs to be in AAA. Hopefully when Taillon returns if not sooner. Sending him out there every 5th day is unfair to the other 24 players and certainly not entertaining for the fans (unless they bet the 'over').

I agree.

Kuhl saved himself. Wiliams has been fine. Glasnow is the weakest link.

Maybe we should have traded Glasnow a year or so ago when we had the chance. I'm not saying he should have been a phenom or anything by now but there is no excuse for him to be this bad and pitch this poorly virtually every other start he makes. Too early I think to say Glasnow is a bust but he is not even worthy of being mentioned anymore as one of the top young pitching prospects in baseball. The guy stinks period and the results speak for themselves and don't lie.

Glasnow seems to be on the way to becoming a "failed" starter. You know that most great relief pitchers were at one time "failed" starters. Perhaps a demotion to Indy to learn how to get his crap together and become a dominant relief pitcher.

But what a disaster for the Pirates who desperately need Glasnow to be a dominant starter.

He's now been torched for 75 hits, 29 walks, 45 ER, 53 total runs in 54.1 innings for an ERA of 7.45. Generally, a pitcher gives up a couple more total runs than earned runs. But Glasnow has already given up 8 more runs than earned runs. That's because he puts so many runners on base that anytime an error is committed, it's likely going to result in someone scoring. 54.1 innings pitched, 53 runs scored.

Glasnow sent down today finally. Will he be back up this season again?? I have my doubts.

What a mystery he is. A guy 6'9" throwing 96 is suppose to seem like 100 to batters . The Marlins were just pounding him the other night. Even Worley hit the ball hard. I think your correct and his return is not in the near future.
