The bats have been scorching this month. It can't continue, but it sure is fun to watch/listen to while it lasts.

Yep great start to this series. Gotta like your chances of winning this game tonight and with Nova pitching on Thursday 3 out 4 this series is definitely looking like a possibility. Nice to see the offense heat up this month hopefully it keeps up.

Mercer and Cutch have been killing at the bottom of the lineup.

Great inning. Only Frazier didn't get on base among the eight position players. Smart move to give Osuns the start over the struggling Bell. Osuna has hit Davies hard before.

I just hope Kuhl attacks and doesn't get too comfortable. If the Pirates can score six in an inning so can the Brewers.

I didn't realize McCutchen can set a record with most at bats without a grand slam.

I have the feeling the Pirates are going to need more runs.

This is what the Pirates need to do if they are going to get back in this race. They have to beat the teams ahead of them in the standings in the division like the Brewers and get back to .500. I made a thread the other day looking at the last 18 games before the break and said the Bucs needed to go 13-5 in this stretch to get back over .500. Even 12-6 or 11-7 would work as well. They have a chance to do that seeing they are playing a lot of games over the next 2-3 weeks against teams that aren't very good.

time to take Kuhl out. No need to let Brewers get back into game.
