Hey, Hey, the Panthers crushed Jacksonville 107-56. They are on top of the ACC with a 4-0 record. If only the Bucs could hire a guy like Capel to manage the team.

It wasn't too long ago that people were calling for Capel's head.

Pitt went 1-1 in the NIT Tipoff Classic in New York. Lost their first game of the season to a very good Florida
Team and bounced back with a very decisive win over Oregon St. They are now 5-1 and up next is a very
talented Missouri Team this coming Wednesday in Pittsburgh.

The boys let us down big time vs Clemson. They sucked in the 1st half but made a nice run behind Hinson's scoring. They could not hit a foul shot to save my arse and Feddie and twins were non-factors. Time for Coach C to kick some arse and make them run wind sprints before and after practice to let them know they can be better.

Hey Wildwoodcoach,

A blast from the past in Pitt basketball. Pitt men won 22 in a row

What if find interesting about this article is the Pitt coaching staff—head coach Buzz Ridl and assistant coach Fran Webster and his Ameoba defense. Ridl and Webster came from an NAIA school Westminster College which is my alma mater. Ridl led the Titans for the NAIA national tournament during my first two years at Westminster. So his hiring by Pitt was a big step up for him. Webster was a funny-looking guy who was mainly a phys ed professor but he loved basketball. Fran could shoot the basketball using a two-handed set shot. He would make shots one right after another.
