Taillon vs. Lynn tonight. I'm glad Hurdle saw the light and decided to pitch Taillon over Kuhl. Also lines him up to pitch the fourth game of the Brewers series. Tonight's an important one, as I'd say we have the mound advantage. Tomorrow is Martinez vs. Williams, so advantage Cards.



Last night, Glasnow was lights out again. 7 IP, 3 H, 0 BB, 0 R, 6 Ks. If he'd just throw strikes in the big leagues, he'd be fine. Marte went 2 for 5.

Agreed. I'm fearing more and more he may be a AAAA pitcher.

Glasnow was visible nervous on every pitch he threw in the majors. If he can get out of his own head, he'll be a great one. He's throws better pitches on paper than any of our current starters. His problem is between his ears.

It's why I gave him the nickname Glass Case earlier this season and will continue to do so until he proves that he can quit pitching like a headcase and get out of his own head.

I agree. He seemed to be so conscious of our dugout on every pitch. Too worried about Searage and his motion. It made him aim his pitches. I keep thinking he just needs to trust his fundamentals and let if fly. Looks like he is starting to do that.

When he left Pittsburgh I was thinking the same thing. But I'm back to believing he's got the stufff. Just complete domination at AAA - that's gotta translate to more than AAAA.
