The one thing this team needs is more Max Moroff.

I know for sure that his spot on the roster can in no way be attributed to Neal Huntington's efforts. He just ended up on the roster, somehow.

I can't see any logical reason for playing Moroff, at any time, but especially when the entire team has just had a week off. Why in the world does Hurdle feel like he has to play Moroff 2-3 times a week? Over the last month he's had one more base hit than I have.

J-Hay is not exactly setting the world on fire, but he is far more capable of helping us win a game than Moroff is.

On another note, there is not doubt in my mind that Gift belongs in this role ahead of both Moroff and Gooselin. Gift can hit every bit as good as these two (neither of whom can hit a lick) plus his glove his vastly superior.

Listening to the pre-game. It sure does sound like Neal is thisclose to being in sell mode.

I think it's reached the point that the Pirates basically need to sweep the Brewers 4 straight in order to avoid "sell mode," and I certainly don't see that happening.

In "Naked Gun" Lt. Drebin impersonated the national anthem singer and the home plate umpire and was terrible as both. I suspect Lt. Drebin is now impersonating Max Moroff.

By starting Moroff today it just proves that winning just does not come first to this team. No reason to start him when you are fighting for your life everyday now to stay in this division race and you desperately need to win this series today.

After the first fly ball of the game Joe block says "the ball is carrying very well so far today." Really? I guess so. 1 out of 1.

I'm very accustomed to seeing Hurdle manage each game as if it would be nice to win but not important enough to put his best team on the field. He just doesn't seem to care if they lose.

Nice play by Bell when Lt. Drebin Moroff almost commits a Pedro at 3B.
