Seems to make sense to me. Can't get him a US visa. See if you can get him one to the Dominican Republic. Thoughts? Personally, I think Kang is done. I doubt he ever plays MLB again. Hope I'm wrong, but I doubt it.

Nutting wants to really screw the Bucco fans here in the Burgh he just moves all the home games to the Dominican Republic and lets Kang play those games. As for road games, hey, we have Freese, JHay, Serpico and a whole bunch of other guys who can at least take the field sober here in the states.

At this point, I doubt Kang gets a US work visa before his probation in Korea ends. Spring 2019.

Agree with this. I think the Pirates believe this too with the reacquisition of SRod. Otherwise, why bring him back?

So #Pirates Jung Ho Kang will play in the Dominican Winter League. If you're wondering, Koreans can stay in DR without visa for 90 days

I thought he wasn't allowed to leave Korea while on probation. Was it really a United States ban?

Anyway, this is good news.

Seriously, might be worth it. Would a team be willing to go with 24 players for 81 games? Toronto does have a pretty good 3B.
