What a complete joke on that ball 4 call to Walker Glasnow threw that was right down the middle and then Clint gets tossed for arguing it. Completely inexcusable and even more a reason to go to electronic home plate umps. That was totally ridiculous. These umpires get way too sensitive when anything is said to them especially when it's a horribly blown call. Somebody should tell ten people don't pay money to see them umpire.

Glasnow got ripped off that whole inning. I hope he says something. McCutchen or another player can pay his fine for him. That was crap. Very bad umping.

Yep, if any one wants to lobby for electronic ball strike calls they will find a lot of good evidence from just this season's Pirate games. I'm sure every other team can find it too.

Worst call I have ever seen.

I don't think Glasnow did that great, but he deserved better. This umpire needs reviewed big time.

Bell needs to cut that ball to the plate. Then Diaz dropped the ball with still a shot to get the runner at second.

I would like to see Glasnow get another start.

I've long been an advocate for electronic ball/strike calls due to the incompetence of umpires. The umps would not be replaced because they would be behind the plate signalling the call and decided plays at the plate. The "human element" means nothing to me if they can't do their job.

That said, the umps have not been Glasnow's biggest problem. Seven 3-2 counts in 2.2 innings. 77 pitches. 4 hits SIX walks, 5 runs. After dominating in AAA last year, Glasnow was a total bust with the Pirates early this year. After again dominating at AAA this year, he gets another chance and immediately sucks. Is this a AAAA pitcher?

Three of those walks shouldn't have happened in my opinion. Yeah, Glasnow couldn't get out of the jam, but the strike zone was awful. The box on AT&T showed that assuming it is accurate.
