This is the final home game tonight. The Pirates did their fan appreciation day on Sunday, so I have no idea if they will do anything tonight.

I read that Pedro Alvarez is starting for the Orioles tonight for all of you "Pedro Lovers". I expect some type of tribute to him.

Let's Go Bucs.

Don't get your hopes up on a potential Harrison trade. Harrison is a good player, but he's not a difference maker. Nobody's going to give an A level prospect for him.

On the Pedro front, I think that's nice they are letting him start tonight. I hope he gets a nice reception. He always tried. He just didn't quite have it.

On Harrison, the point isn't greed for a great return -- it's just that he will cost close to or at 10 MM, and can be replaced by someone making 550,000 (or so, minimum salary). NH is going to be struggling for every single budget penny he can get his hands on.

McCutchen with a nice play. They tested his arm and his arm won.

Pedro was a big part of the playoff success. Can't take that away from him or any other core players on those teams.

Why did Diaz slide into first? Catchers are supposed to know the game. Where did he learn that?

When you say playoff success, are you referring to the wildcard game we lost, or the divisional series we lost?

The three years the Pirates made the playoffs. I didn't think that comment was that confusing.

Great game.

Kuhl pitched ok. Polanco and Bell homered. McCutchen doubled up a runner. Pedro got a little standing ovation. McCutchen got a bigger ovation. McCutchen caught the final out.

Happy I went and saw the final home game.
