From FanRag Sports and also 93.7 the Fan it seems that Thomas Tull is interested in buying the Buccos.
Here is the article from FanRag: thomas Tull Interested in Purchasing Pittsburgh Pirates
Guy lives in Pgh and is a fan of all Pittsburgh Teams. Has a small ownership interest in Steelers.
Don't take this as a fact just some speculation that has cheered up my day and hopefully yours. If nothing else it could be a great dream for us.

It might be nice, but I just don't see Nutting parting with a cash cow.

I can't possibly it is the "Cash Cow" people think it is, where the yearly profit would make up for a billion dollar (or whatever) one-time sale. He would make much much more money selling, than keeping the team and "lining his pockets" while rubbing his hands together like a cartoon super-villain.
I think he likes owning a team.

I wish this was true. I think Nutting should either sell the team or add some additional investors. In two years it will be 40 years since the Bucs were in the World Series. It is time that this fan base gets to enjoy another Series.

I don’t ever see Nutting selling. And yes, definitely time for the fans to be back at n the WS. Just based on the law of averages, you should get to the WS once every fifteen years, to the LCS, roughly every 7-8 years, and win a division title every five years.
As you all know, our last WS was 1979. Our last LCS and division title was 1992. The organization has wallowed in mediocrity for far too long.

I think maybe a guy like Nutting might wait until Trump manages to get new tax code in place to make a sale, if a lump sum is what he is after

The Post Gazette is saying he is not interested or trying.

He's probably as big of a solution to our problems as Mark Cuban was.
Regardless of whether he is interested or not, I don't see Nutting selling.

Wish it were true as McScroge Nutting is doing very little to make our Bucs contenders...But we can hope! Pray!!! Make a pact with the devil like Faust, LOL! Geez, wouldn't it be nice to have a real owner who was behind the team...It has been too many years since our Bucs have been to the WS...

What I heard was that Tull expressed an interest, but it was not in response to any indication that Nutting was willing to sell. So it's a non-story.
