Just trying to have some fun with a poll. I know there is a thread about the Japanese two way player. He had his interviews after narrowing it down to seven teams.
What team do you think he will choose (if you care)?

Seattle. Because the Japanese are seafood obsessed and Seattle has the best.

Seattle because of the large ethnic community there and the more progressive society overall as well. And he also has the chance to become a second Ichiro of sorts. And they have the money right now.
Finally I will get a chance to see him play when I go to Seattle to visit my grandkids.

I'm going with Seattle.
During Ichiro's tenure they developed a strong marketing presence in Japan (Nintendo was a majority owner) and they can use those connections to get endorsement money to bump up his earnings.

I choose Seattle for Ichiro reasons as well.

You think the Pirates have it bad? How about the A's? He is open to every single California team, and every single west coast team, save one...Oakland.
I guess Billy Bean was right, or at least Brad Pitt's portrayal of him, "There's the rich teams, then there's the poor teams. Then there's 50 feet of crap. Then there's us."

Their facilities are awful and the new stadium plan was put on hold.

I didn't realize things were that bad. Any chance they move out of Oakland?
