Supposedly what the team has to spend on international players. Three or four of the players released from their contract with the Braves have already signed with new teams. Will they or will they not spend some money?

They will spend a portion and will work out a trade to move some of the money to another team. The money cannot be rolled over to the next year, so it is imperative that they use it on international prospects or trade the money away to another team.

Certainly not trying to start an argument here but is there any use for the remaining money now that the Ohtani merry go round is about to stop. Surely confused with all this. Sorry!

My guess/hope is that NH is waiting for San Diego or Seattle to get spooked on the amount of signing money it will take to sign Ohtani, and offer to trade us some good prospect/s for additional signing money. Despite all the crap NH takes this is not rocket science and I am confident he is on top of this possibility. If it isn't spent related to the Ohtani suitors, use it for the Braves refugees. If NH can't accomplish this, he not only needs to be terminated, he needs to be shot.

I was just about to say x2. Glad I didn’t after reading your last line. I sincerely hope you are being facetious. Even if you are...I definitely wouldn’t say that online.
Regardless, everything else I agree with. Bucs need to be all over using their bonus money to work out some trades with Ohtani's final seven.

Well maybe it will make you feel better to know I don't own a gun and have never fired one. On the other hand I do take my International Money seriously.

Fair enough. It’s just that given what we’ve seen recently in Vegas and in a church in Texas, well, there clearly are nuts out there. And I say this as someone who DOES own guns and understands the responsibilities that come with that right.

Twins spent $2 million of their international money for prospects:
The Mariners announced that they’ve traded catching prospect David Banuelos to the Twins in exchange for international bonus money. Minnesota has also announced the deal, revealing that they’re sending $1MM of their $3.245MM pool to Seattle in the deal.
The Twins announced the trade and confirmed that they’re sending $1MM in international allocations.
For the Twins, they’ll pick up a recent third-rounder (Jacob Pearson)who was considered to be the fifth-best prospect in the Angels’ farm, per Jim Callis and Jonathan Mayo of MLB.com. Pearson, 19, batted just .226/.304/.284 in 40 games this past summer in his pro debut with Anaheim’s Rookie-level Arizona League affiliate. However, Callis and Mayo laud his bat speed in their free scouting report and tout him as a plus runner who will eventually have 20-homer, 20-steal potential. Arm strength is an issue following a torn labrum in high school, Callis and Mayo note, though it’s certainly possible that he improves in that regard as he distances himself from surgery. Pearson played 60 innings in center during his debut campaign and another 278 in left field.

Congrats To The Twins For Cashing In On Two AL West Teams’ Shohei Ohtani Thirst
In exchange, the Twins sent international bonus pool money back to Seattle and Anaheim, $1 million apiece, which could be put towards paying Ohtani. The Mariners surrendered fifth-round college catcher David Banuelos in return—he was the best catcher in their farm system—and the Angels traded third-round outfielder Jacob Pearson, the fifth-best prospect in their system. The Twins still have $1.25 million in bonus pool money.
I really hope the brain trust has an opportunity to swoop in as a last minute partner for competing teams. Because once Ohtani is signed the trade value of their pool money plunges.
