I think this is the day Arb eligible salary info is exchanged by the clubs. According to mlbtr, the Pirates have four affected players. Here is their guess of the ultimate outcome --



Pirates (4)



Jordy Mercer (5.095) – $6.5MM

George Kontos (4.171) – $2.7MM

Gerrit Cole (4.111) – $7.5MM

Felipe Rivero (2.162) – $3.1MM



With the 'File and Trial' approach, I would expect some resolutions today.

Seems really high for Kontos- he's not worth 90% of Rivero.

Are these the real numbers or the projected/rumored offers?

Dog, if you are referring to the numbers in the first post in this thread, those are the guesses by the people at mlbtr as to what the final outcome will be. I haven't seen any information of offers or demands, and don't think those come out until after today.

Jordy signs for 6.75MM.

Cole got the same as Mercer, $6.75 million. He was projected more. This might make him wanted even more.

it's so weird to me that they're considered the same "value" (and mind you I like jordy just fine)

Jordy is in his 3rd year, Cole in his 2nd. It goes up each year.
