Pirates Prospects is a pay site, but the gist of it is that he has been trying to eliminate the natural cut from his fastball his whole career by pitching across his body. This spring they have straightened out his motion, allowing his fastball to cut, and he has found he can control it better than when he was trying to eliminate the cut. The article says he won't have the control to dot the corners with it cutting, but that he may not need that level of precision. He has 31 strike outs and 5 walks in 19.2 innings with this change. Very encouraging news.
