I can dream about Shelton being replaced, but in 1960 the Phillies lost their opening day game after which manager Eddie Sawyer resigned. He was quoted as saying, “I’m 49 years old, and I want to live to be 50.” He never managed again and lived to be 87 so apparently he knew what he was doing.
Maybe we can petition to all manage the Pirates for one day this season!
How are we going to split up the Manager Of The Year trophy?
We'll do it like the teams do with the Stanley Cup, every guy gets the trophy for a party. We'll go by age, I think that would only be fair. Doc should be going first I imagine, we'll notify him the same way he got his mail as a young man, by Pony Express.

That would match the number of different line-ups Shelton will put together.

Don't be ridiculous. Ponies hadn't been invented yet.
