You said you didn't think Cole was ever dominating. We are just pointing out that he was in 2015.

Ok, if he was dominant in 2015, why has he not been able to pitch at the level in college, the minors, or any other year in the majors?
That's a different issue. But it's wrong to belittle his outstanding WHIP in 2015. Otherwise, I agree that other than 2015, he has not lived up to expectations.

that is the big question. Although in his first 3 years he did give up less than a hit an inning. last year is when things changed and the hope was 2016 was injury related. No idea about this year, especially with all the home runs (has allowed 27 in 160 innings but only 36 before this season in 500 innings).



His minor league stats are not bad, 2.66 ERA. 7.1 hits per 9 innings.



Despite my defense of him, I'm ready to deal him. He reminds me too much of Jason Schmidt where I don't think he is going to have another season like 2015 with Pirates even though he might have several with another team.
