If I were him I'd make a list of silly demands, like refusing to play for a team that uses a red uniform.
I like this. Which team would blink first on changing its colors.
Remember when the Pirates offered Pete Rose a race horse?
The Cincinnati Reds!*

They could always rename themselves to the Bengals and wear orange and black stripes.

It's reported that both Cardinals and Giants have agreed to a trade for Stanton. It is up to Stanton and where he wants to play. Or if he accepts the new team.

There is a report that the Stanton situation will be completed in the next two or three days. I am concerned that the Cardinals may end up with him which would really hurt the Pirates. The Cubs and Cards will both be strong teams, so maybe Pittsburgh should consider retooling their team.

Apparently Stanton turned down both the Cards and the Giants, but is still open to the Cubs, Dodgers, Astros, and ... The Giants were rumored to be looking at Cutch as a backup choice. Does this restart those rumors?

@BestFansStLouis (Baseball's Best Fans) could be the best account on Twitter right now. Go check it out. There are some pretty upset Cardinal fans that Stanton turned them down.

Yankees and Marlins reached a deal, conditioned on Stanton approving. He's apparently said the Yankees are a team he would go to, so that's about as close to done as you can get. What an offensive powerhouse the Yanks are building. They are still looking for pitching.

Well, DJ was an idiot to overpay for the franchise in the first place and now he has to purge the roster. Stanton is only the first big piece to be moved. I know Gordon went first. I'm sure two more pieces will be going. Overspend for the franchise and break it down to bare bones again. Marlins has the third worst attendance figure last year and that was with Stanton and Gordon and Yelich and Osuna on the roster.

I'd say be careful what you wish for to people who want a big celebrity to swoop in and buy their favorite sports team
