One more thing about Block. Being a homer is one thing, but he takes it to a new level. There's absolutely no criticism of anything the Pirates do poorly. I guess his great call on the Will Craig blunder was his one bright and shining moment.

I was in the car when the pregame came on the radio. As soon as I heard Block’s voice, I changed the channel. I hope we score about 6 runs, so they don't use Bednar and I can possibly see him come out tomorrow to me, Mister Man, and 5,000 other screaming fans.
Then again, it's dollar dog day, so the cheap food might bring a bigger crowd. This will be my third one this season, and it wasn't done intentionally. In fact, it's pretty tough, because so many subhumans put KETCHUP on a hot dog

Priester looked good until he didn't. Ended up with 4 ERs in 4 IP. But at least his 9.09 ERA is better than John Van Benschoten's 9.20. So there's that.

Rivas is Suwinski light. Stands there like a statue striking out with pitches right down the middle, but he doesn't have 24 HR's
